The front cover of The Morningstar Scrapbook shows the smoking ruins of the Upper House after Sonoma County's first bulldozing of all the homes except for Lou's studio (in background). Someone constructed a morning star symbol out of odd scraps of lumber and placed it on the site. This was the first of at least three bulldozings of the homes on the ranch.
